This guide provides descriptions, information, and examples for using the Child Support Enforcement warrant database to retrieve information.

Searching the Database
You can search for individuals by name. The name field is not case-sensitive, so you can enter names in uppercase, lowercase, or a mix. Always use the legal name of the person you are searching for.
The way you enter the name depends on the "Search Type" you select. Generally, entering a longer portion of the name will result in fewer, more specific matches. You must enter at least three characters for any search term.
Search Types
You must select one of the following search types:
Begins With:
This search requires you to enter the exact beginning part or the entire name of the individual.
Examples for "Jim Smith Jr.":
- Jim SMITH
- JIM Smit
- Jim Smith JR.
Examples for "Jacqueline J" and "James Q Jones":
- Jacqueline J
- Jacqueline J and James Q
- Jacqueline J and James Q Jones
With this search type, a more specific input will yield fewer results. Each word or part entered must have a minimum of three characters.
Base Word:
This search requires you to know at least one word that is part of the warranted party's name.
When entering multiple words, their order does not matter.
Examples for "James Brown":

Buttons
Three buttons are available throughout the system:
- Search: Click this button after defining your search criteria to initiate the search.
- Reset: This button clears all input fields and returns radio buttons to their default settings.
- Help: This button displays the current information and help page.
